Disclosure

Disclosure effective date: 2026-09-23. The page-change date is shown at the foot of this page.

ChatToAnyone publishes guides and comparisons about chat platforms and AI tools, and it also runs its own chat product. That combination creates obvious conflicts of interest, so this page sets out how the site makes money, where our own product appears, and the rules we follow so that neither advertising nor our product decides what we recommend.

How the site is funded

The site has two possible sources of money: display advertising on the guides, and ChatToAnyone Plus, the optional paid tier of our own chat product. Nothing else pays for the guides. No company we review has paid to be included, ranked, reviewed or left out, and we do not sell sponsored reviews, paid "best of" slots, guest posts or links.

Display advertising

Google AdSense is enabled on these pages only: Best Omegle alternatives, Best random video chat apps, Best Character.AI alternatives. Ads never load on the home page, the product and pricing pages, the Safety Center, our legal pages, or anywhere inside the chat.

We do not hand-place ad units or write any advertising ourselves. On an eligible page, the site loads Google's ad code and Google decides whether to show an ad, where on the page and which one, within the settings of our AdSense account. We do not pick individual advertisers, and an ad is not a recommendation. The ad code loads only for visitors who are not signed in, or who are signed in on the Free plan. A signed-in Plus subscriber does not receive it, and if we cannot confirm someone's plan, the ad code stays off. The Privacy Policy explains ad cookies, consent and how to opt out of personalized ads.

No affiliate link is enabled on this site today. The links in our guides go straight to each product's own website, with no referral code or tracking parameter. The site's code can support clearly labeled partner links. If we ever enable one, the link will be marked as sponsored where it appears, this page will name the relationship, and the ranking will not change because of it.

Our own product in our guides

ChatToAnyone is a text chat product that matches eligible adults with other people where available, and offers clearly labeled AI companions. It is free to use, and Plus is an optional paid tier. See pricing. Where our product is relevant to a guide, such as a text-only option in the Omegle alternatives guide, it is labeled as ours ("our own product", "our app — disclosed") and is not given a ranked position among the independent entries. We describe its limits as plainly as anyone else's: it has no video, human matching depends on age, region and how many people are online, and it is not a therapy or crisis service.

What "tested" means here

Our guides distinguish between three kinds of evidence. The first is hands-on use that we have records of. The second is dated captures of a product's public pages. The third is the product's own documentation and policies. We describe something as tested hands-on only when we have records to support it. Where an entry rests on a source review instead, the guide says so, and our editorial method explains the difference. We do not claim to have tested paid tiers, matching quality or moderation effectiveness that we have not been able to verify.

What we will not do

  • We will not describe a service as hands-on tested without records to support it.
  • We will not rank services by commission, ad revenue or any other payment.
  • We will not recommend NSFW chat services, or platforms whose primary use case is adult content.
  • We will not accept payment for placement, paid "best of" inclusion or "sponsored review" arrangements.
  • We will not paywall, gate or hide our recommendations behind a sign-up form.
  • We will not remove accurate criticism of a product because its owner asks us to.

Corrections

If you think a guide is wrong, or that a commercial relationship is not disclosed, email editor@chattoanyone.com with the page and a source. Corrections from companies we cover are judged on evidence, like everyone else's.

Independent disclaimer

ChatToAnyone is not affiliated with Omegle (shut down in November 2023), OmeTV, Chatroulette, Emerald Chat, Monkey, OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Character.AI, Replika, Janitor.AI, Pi (Inflection) or any other platform we review. The only link with Google is that we use its advertising and analytics services as a customer. Trademarks belong to their owners.
