- You are never asked for identity
- No name, phone number, email address, or social login is required to start. An anonymous session is created for you and you are given a randomly generated alias.
- The other person sees the alias, nothing more
- They cannot see your email, location, IP address, or any other conversation you have had. There is no public profile to click through to.
- Text-first, camera never
- There is no video mode to be pressured into. The product has no camera or voice feature. Photos can be shared only in some adult chats with a person, and only if you choose to send one.
- What the service keeps, and for how long
- Messages are stored so a conversation survives a dropped connection, and so a report can be investigated. For each chat you choose whether your copy is kept until you delete it or removed after 7 days. Your IP address and approximate country are processed for security and regional rules, and never shown to the other person.
- Where anonymity stops
- Every message is screened before it is shown. If someone sends something illegal, anonymity does not protect them: we preserve the evidence and act on it. That is the trade that keeps the room usable.
Chat without registration, start to finish
There is no registration step on this site. Not a shortened one, not a social button, not an email box that appears after your third message. Opening the chat creates an anonymous session for you, hands you a generated alias, and puts you in the conversation.
You only choose an age band, because the rules genuinely differ: under-13s cannot use the product at all, 13 to 17 gets the clearly labeled AI companion, and matching with another person is 18+ where it is available. That is a self-declaration you make in the browser, not an identity check. There is no document, phone number or email address, and no account with a password to remember.

- What you do not fill in
- You don't give a username, password, email address, phone number, date of birth (only an age band), social login or payment details. There is nothing to verify and nothing to confirm from an inbox.
- What happens instead
- An anonymous session is created server-side and bound to your browser. It is what keeps a conversation alive if your connection drops. It lasts for up to 60 days after your last visit, and clearing this site's data from your browser ends it on your side.
- Registering is optional and can happen later
- You can attach an account afterwards if you want your chats and Plus on a new device, or a profile you can share with a friend. Everything described on this page works without registration, and will keep working if you never register.

- Your random alias, the language you are both using, and the messages you choose to send. Not your email, IP address, country, device, other chats or anything you have saved to an account.
- The AI companion's model provider
- In an AI conversation, the text of that conversation is sent to the language model that writes the replies, through a provider allowlist we control. It does not receive your email address or account details.
- Our moderation checks
- Every message is checked by automated classifiers before it is displayed. If you report a conversation, a snapshot of the reported message goes to a moderator.
- Our servers
- An anonymous ID, your IP address and approximate country for security, rate limiting and regional rules, and the messages themselves for recent-chat continuity and safety review.
- Anyone trying to look you up
- There is no public profile, no searchable directory of users, and no way for a stranger to look you up by alias. Your alias is a colour-and-animal pair that many people share, so it points to nothing about you, though it can repeat across your own chats.
How to stay anonymous in chat
The product can keep your identity out of the conversation. It cannot stop you typing it in. Exposure in chat often builds in small, friendly steps, so these are the habits worth keeping.

- Keep usernames out
- A gaming tag, an Instagram handle or an old forum name can be searched in seconds and often leads straight to a real name. The same goes for an email address “just so we can keep talking”.
- Blur the specifics
- Talk about “my job” rather than the company, “my city” rather than the neighbourhood, “school” rather than which one. You can tell a true story without the coordinates.
- Assume screenshots
- Nothing technical stops the other person from taking a screenshot, and they keep their own copy of the chat. Write as if what you say could be shown to someone else.
- Watch for the move off-platform
- Someone pushing to switch to another app, a phone number or a private account is a common early step in scams. Moving people off-platform to get around safety tools is against our terms.
- Never send money
- No gift cards, no transfers, no crypto, no “small loan until Friday”, not to anyone you meet here, however long you have talked. The room itself carries this reminder.
- Check photos before sending
- Where photo sharing is available, a picture can show a street sign, a school logo, a uniform or your face in a reflection. If it would place you, do not send it.
If you later decide to save an account
Staying anonymous is the default and it has no expiry date on features: everything on this page works without an account. Saving one exists for people who want their chats to follow them to another device or browser.
You can save it with an emailed sign-in link, and with Google or Apple where those are offered. There is still no password and still no public profile: your random chat name stays private, and the address you sign in with is never shown to the people you talk to.
An account can also hold a display name and a short bio, and they stay private until you choose to share them with a specific friend. The product is honest about the one limit there: once shared, that friend may keep a copy even if you stop sharing later.

Anonymous, not unmoderated
Anonymity is often used as a synonym for “anything goes”. It is not one here. Every message, from a person or from an AI companion, is classified before it is displayed to anyone, and the check fails closed: if it cannot get a verdict, the message does not appear.
This is a safe-for-work product. There is no adult mode, no “uncensored” toggle, and no plan to add one. You can block or report anyone in two taps, and a block is remembered so you are not matched with them again.

Can I chat without registration or login?

Can the other person find out who I am?
Not from the product. They see a randomly generated alias and your messages. The risk is what you type: a real name, a workplace, a school, a social handle, or a photo can identify you no matter how the site is built. Do not share those.
Do you log IP addresses?
Yes. Your IP address is stored with your chat session until the session expires, and it is used with your approximate country for security, rate limiting and regional safety rules. It is never shown to the person you are chatting with.
How old do I have to be?
Under-13s are not permitted at all. Chatting with a clearly labeled AI companion is available from 13. Human matching is 18+ and is offered only where it is available.
What languages does it work in?
Twelve: English, Español, Português, हिन्दी, اردو, العربية, Bahasa Indonesia, Français, Deutsch, 日本語, Türkçe and Русский. The interface and the conversation both follow your choice, including right-to-left layout for Urdu and Arabic.
Can the other person keep or screenshot our chat?
Yes. Each participant has their own copy in their recent chats, and nothing can technically stop a screenshot. That is why the advice is to keep identifying details out of the conversation rather than rely on the other person's goodwill.
If I delete a chat, is it gone for both of us?
No. “Delete from my history” removes the chat from your history only; the other person keeps their copy unless they delete it too. Messages tied to an open report or a legal safety hold can be retained separately for as long as that requires.
What happens to my anonymous session if I stop using it?
It stays on this browser for up to 60 days after your last visit, then expires. When your session expires, its connection record is deleted. Your anonymous account is removed only once it has no saved chats, blocks, friends or open reports, so use Delete everything in settings if you want it gone sooner.
