How the matching works
You pick a language and, if you want, something you feel like talking about. If you are 18 or older and human matching is enabled in your region, we put you in a queue and look for someone whose choices line up with yours. Availability varies with current traffic and safety controls, and the product tells you when no human match is available.

When nobody is there, we say so
Every site of this kind has quiet hours, and most of them handle it by silently connecting you to a bot and hoping you do not notice. We do the opposite.
If a human match is unavailable, eligible users are offered a conversation with an AI companion instead — and it is labelled as one, permanently, in the room. It will tell you it is an AI if you ask. It will never claim to be a person. You can decline the AI option; human matching remains subject to age, region, traffic, and safety availability.
That honesty costs us some engagement. It is worth more than the engagement.

There is no video chat here and there is not going to be. Random video is where this category earned its reputation, and the reputation was deserved — a camera turns a conversation into an exposure risk, for you and for whoever is on the other end.
Text is slower, and slower is the point. You get to think before you answer. So do they.

Who you can actually be matched with
Matching with another person is adults only — 18+ — and is offered only where regional and operational safety rules allow it. Eligibility is enforced before you are ever put in the queue, not asked politely afterwards. Under-18s who are 13 or over can use the clearly labelled AI companion instead; under-13s cannot use the product at all.
Every message is screened before the other person sees it, and the screen fails closed. Blocking is two taps and permanent. Reporting takes a conversation to a human review queue. If that queue gets too big to review properly, human matching switches off by itself until it is clear — we would rather be temporarily boring than temporarily unsafe.
This is a safe-for-work product, not a dating one. There is no adult mode and no matching by gender or looks.

Is it free to talk to strangers here?
Yes — human matching where available and text chat are free, with no account required to start and no trial timer.
Do I have to register?
No. You are given a random alias, and no email address or phone number is required to start a conversation.
Is there video chat?
No, and there will not be. This is text-first by design. Photos can be shared in some adult human conversations, and every image is moderated before it can exist on the server.
How do I know if I am talking to a real person or an AI?
Because we tell you, in the room, for the whole conversation. AI companions carry a permanent AI badge that is stamped by the server, not by the model, so it cannot be talked out of it. An AI companion will never deny being an AI.
What if someone is abusive?
Block them in two taps and the match will not happen again. Report them and the conversation goes to a review queue. Messages are screened before display, so most of it never reaches you in the first place.
Can I choose who I talk to?
You can choose a language and a topic. You cannot filter people by gender, age or appearance — that turns a conversation product into a dating one, and this is not that.
